aaaand the indian government continues to disappoint. these “rape-preventative” measures are just proof of the perpetuation of victim-blaming. pushing women out of public spaces is NOT going to stop rape from happening, and it’s infuriating to watch our government put forward such an ignorant approach to rape prevention. i’m sick of society’s attitude towards this problem. when will people realize that it’s not women who should have to change their appearance, lifestyle and habits, but MEN who need to be kept from and appropriately punished for committing rape?
